Admiration to Irritation

People say they admire you for writing a book, but they aren't buying it. Not everyone thinks you’re as great as you are. Remember, this is a process. You will experience ups and downs as a publisher. Just because you wrote a book doesn’t mean everyone wants to read it; typically, that isn’t the case.
That's okay. Ask yourself, who did you write the book for—others or yourself? If you wrote it for others and profit, you might face disappointment if you're expecting immediate financial gains and no one is buying it. However, if you wrote it for yourself, take pride in the fact that you accomplished something that not everyone can do, and allow the process to unfold. Who knows? You might achieve both personal satisfaction and some financial gains along the way
